Yesterday was the best day with finding a hot spot in one of my fields. I found ten buttons with one of them turning out to be what I think is US Navy oval crest cuff button ca. 1820's or 30's. Another one is also similar. I've been scouting around, knocking on doors, looking for a good site to host all the Tnet buddies coming next week. I'll post all the pix, the 1879 IHC was the bent one, yesterday I found the 1903 IHC mixed in with the buttons.

Enjoy the pix

Those Navy buttons are sweet! Congrats on all of the finds.

I look forward to seeing you soon buddy. I hope your knuckles don't get sore from all that door knocking!

Well done, congrats and HH

Wonderful walk!

Say....is that "folding" money I see!? :tongue3:

What a nice collection of keepers! :icon_thumleft:

I've been riding by these same places for years now, I actually try not to knock, I pull in when I see someone outside. When I do knock I pound on the door like it's a raid. Ha, NOT, really just kidding. I just hope I don't end up putting you to work moving into the house, lol.

Well done, congrats and HH
Thanks DD

I showed my 24 year old son that day and said, "see if you can bend that straight for me?" Haaaa put a nice dent in his fingertips.

Thanks Doc, some boring rainy day I'm going to count buttons and crusty copper coins. It'll be interesting to see how many I have now?

Looks like you're onto a site that's had a ton of old activity on it Brad. :occasion14:
The sheer amount of buttons and coppers you found tells me silver should be there too!

Thanks Dave, that would be a welcome find.

Very cool stuff. Now, if I could just find some in south jersey.

you guys kill me with those button finds, mine are never that old or that cool looking. I finally found what I thought was a super old one and nope, semi modern. always wonder how and why the coins get bent like that, seems like Carolina Tom had a folded silver

Great finds Brad! Hope the weather cooperates and stays nice!

Nice early navy button bud. I’ve got one from the same time frame I think. Good luck when the posse comes for a hunt. I’m sure there’ll be sone great finds posted after that gathering.

Nice job.
Thanks, we'll hopefully get to hit this spot Monday, time will tell. All according to if settlement, if it happens or not? Just was texting my realtor, I'm hoping to know for sure soon.
