Last day 06 in 2" of snow comes a beautiful colonial flat button

I went out again today. Two inches of puffy snow on the ground. My last shot at finding something in the woods this year. I went to the cellar hole that I posted pictures of this week. This is the old 1700's cellar hole place, the small cellar hole. This area is quite a ways from the actual cellar hole. I found a nice oxen shoe, some square nails so I stayed in that area. Under 2" of snow and 9" of dirt came this beautiful specimen of a colonial flat button. It still has some gilt on it and a full shank. I love it!!!!!!!!!!

How large is the button? I found a Colonial button last week. It is about the size of a half dollar.
