well i havent been on in a while due to a trip to the U.P. Michigan. so heres my hauls n pickings for the last cpl of weeks, no pickings for last week due to the trip.

7/27/07 yard trip

dirty alum 26lb @.45=11.70
cast alum 11lb @.48=5.28

tranformer 29lb @.08=2.32
copper wire #2 9lb @1.75=15.75
ele motor 46lb @.10=4.60
copper wire cod. #2 26lb @ 1=26.00

for a grand total of $75.96

7/28/07 yard trip
steel 700lb @.04=28.00

this week pickings have been ok gotten 2 dvd player, 2 radios, 2 computer hard drives, 1 computer montior, a bunch of steel chairs n mop handles, some alum (shower frame i think), 4 more bikes, a weight bench, a cat. converter, steel tool box, a bunch of x-mas lights, and a bbq

alittle bit of a question n story have any of u have someone come out of thier house while u was picking n start yelling at u n if so how did u handle it? im asking cause on tuesday i went to check out a new area for picking n found one while i was grabbing a steel chair i notice some alum rain gutter in the person recycle bin. as i was taking the chair to my van the man across the road came out n yell at me asking me what i was doing. i told him i was grabage picking n he said "NO LEAVE POPLE GRABAGE ALONE" i told him this is how i make extra money while im looking for a job n he said so what. he started to get on my nevars already but i simply said how am i supose to suport me kids then n he said get a job i told him i was trying but till then this is what i do. he said "I DONT CARE IF U DONT STOP ILL CALL THE COPS ON U" n that push me to far i went off i yell back at him "GO AHEAD IM NOT BREAKING THE LAW" after that i relize im losing my cool n didnt want to give grabage pickers a bad name so i shut my mouth n got in my van n went to the next road. leaving the alum behind really man me madder but i still got a small load that nite.

oh my last to yard trips was to clean up my steel from my yard i took in all the bikes i had cause my wife wasnt happy that they was taking up so much room n i dont have the time to work on them. i had a total of 14 bikes n one tri-cicle for a total weight of 360lb @.04=$14.40 the next load was the rest of my steel n a bbq (steel frame n cast grill)i had 420lbs @.04=$16.80 n the bbq weight was 72lb n they gave me .06 a lb for it for a total of 4.32 for a grand total of 21.12 now bad for cpl days of picking lol well ty for taking the time to read this long boreing stuff lol good luck n happy hunting to all

I always get people who actually help load my truck. If some guy did come at me like that I would try to keep my cool too, but it's hot and muggy so I probably tell him to go pound sand or urinate up a rope. I have a bad habit of enjoying verbal confrontations. I would leave then come back in in an hour or so. I also have 8 other identified scrappers hitting my area so someone would have gotten it before me most likely.

If he goes to write down the plates then I would write down his address. If you're the better person and not provoking him and not breaking the law. The coppers should tell him to go back to his hole and get a cup of shut the heck up.
