Last couple times out

In spite of doing my homework with the research and getting permission at some new sites the finds are still not where I'd like them to be. Today at another new permission I was very disappointed as I had high hopes for this site. I still haven't finished covering all the ground yet so guess there's still hope. One of the 2 buttons I dug there had some writing around the periphery and all I can make out is "TAL", but other letters follow ( see 3rd pic below). Does this look familiar to anyone? Thanks for any assistance.

that's what I was thinking.. I think Don in SJ and a couple others have found cufflinks with that inscription, don't recall a button though

It sucks your research didn't pan out but those are still some sweet finds. The buttons are awesome and I always love to see knapped stone. Good luck at DIV and I look forward to seeing all those plates you pull out with that GPX 5000!!

That's what it looks like to me as well....a Tallio button. I think I can see the back end of the running fox.
