Got an invite from my friend Tom to hit at an out-of-town colonial site on Tues (thanks Tom!), and also hit a local site with my partner Reid yesterday. Nothing earth-shattering, but did make a few finds. My favorites are the buckle and very early button shown in the close-up. Will try to make it back to the hammered silver site early this week, and will hopefully will have something good to post. HH to all ..... Bill

That's a cool button Bill. Would that be considered a "nipple" button?

This was a solid Colonial post, Bill. :icon_thumleft: The find of the day was the 17th century button. :notworthy:

Keep the passion high!

The buckle appears to be brass.

Do you know what the piece of metal is that has "Patent" written on it? I found a small piece of brass just like it at a 1800s home site here in central Va. Thanks in advance.
