I got my new coils last week and took them to a 1850's site to see what I could find with the 9" HF and the 9" elliptical coils. I ran the Fast program with only a couple of tweaks, 3 tones(modded to 2 tones) and tracking on. My tone break was set just below percussion caps, I tried running it lower, but, I wasted way to much time digging small pieces of aluminum and foil
I will say, when you hit a target within the range, there is no doubt about it. The first set of pictures was last Sunday using the 9" round, the second set of pictures is from today using the 9" elliptical. I ran the same settings on both coils except for the frequency, 9" round ran at 54 Khz and the elliptical was running at 74. I was able to get both coils over some keepers and was very pleased with how they both performed at this site. I'm loving the weight of the Deus, these were hunts #2 and #3 with the Deus, I'm liking it more than I thought I would, not sure why I thought I wouldn't
