Ah good point.. I posted in Today's Finds by mistake.. I dug these a while ago.. sorry about the confusion.

Military pewter buttons are rare in the US as far as I know and I follow a CW relic hunter site. I can not remember seeing one found in the past several years. HH, Mike

These came out of a camp occupied by Longstreet, the story is they are English made and only a few made it through the blockade to actually reach the troops. The LA unit was attached to Longstreet when he was in Northern Virginia..
