Went back for the last hunt of the year at the same Civil War field . Happy Hunting!!!!
Any ideas on the two grommet looking items in the separate picture? Both of the same era I believe.

What are the two small circular donut looking items on the right? I found two just like that this weekend. Are they off of a saddle? Mine were copper or brass.

I don't know on the two grommet looking items. Thought they were Eagle buttons at first. Then the center dirt came out. Definitely the same era. Both were around 9" deep. If I find out I'll let you know. They could be off of a saddle.

They are poncho grommets. Must have equipment for every soldier.
