Nate and I got in our last hunt of 2007 while on Christmas break. The weather was decent and we didn't have any snow to deal with.

I found a coin that Nate and Dan(Danimal) have both found but I wanted to find. Not worth anything really, I just had to find one. ;D It rang up like a zinc penny - 1933 Canadian "wheat" penny:

The rest of the stuff came mostly from a hunt with Nate, Danimal, Spencer and I:

It was cool because I found the four silver rosie's in one hole. It would have been much more exciting if they were Merc's but I'll take it. :)

Happy New Year and Good luck in 2008!

Great finds and nice pictures. I am glad you got one of your great white coins out of the way.
Now onto the next one.

Nice finds!! Congrats on your older Canadian Cent, have found 20 or 30 over the years and always enjoy digging them!

Bob, some nice finds to end the year; those old Canadians seem to hold up well.

Those Canadians are nice to find! Good luck in the new year my friend............ ;D

Bob,
Great way to end 07'. Congrats to you & Nate on the nice finds. I'm glad to see you put the golf clubs away, and came back to detecting again. ;)

Looks like you are on to a decent spot there! Nice silver and Canadian cent!

It's great to see you accomplish all this in the great state of Nohio. I have to say you guys are great at locating hot sites and I am jealous as can be. Your pics are killer, congrats.

Steve,
Too bad we didn't hook up this year. Maybe in '08. Plenty of spots left.....

Hey BDoo. Sorry I haven't been "around" much. Hope you and your kids are well. Nate made me proud today. We got called by my brother-in-law. He told me his sister-in-law(Julie) lost "a half dozen" rings while snow blowing. ::) :P So Nate and I back up the gear and head over to the scene. It was tough because the most likely place was on the sidewalk(major masking). Nate somehow managed to hear a low tone and spot one of the three rings lost(large gold band). More interrogation, reasoning and 20 minutes later Nate found the second gold ring. The third and most valueable plantinum diamond ring remained to be found. We then took all the snow that was in the same area that we found the first two and shoveled it systematically to a place that was metal free. After about three batches of snow we found the third. ;D :)
Needless to say Julie was very relieved and gave Nate $50 as a reward. 8)

Anyway, God bless and best wishes in 2008.

Doug - FYI - I have never played a round of golf. In fact I never owned clubs until my neighbor gave me a set this year. So 2008 might have a new sport for me.... ;) :D No, I doubt it. ;D

I found a few bottles this year but can't find a bottle cleaner. ::) I think I have about 8 decent bottles. As fun as coinshooting except they take up more room. :)

Bob,
Just remember if you do decide to try out golfing, you don't need to use your digging tool to get the ball out of the hole. ;D
I can just see you detecting the sand traps now. ;)
Have a good w/end,
Doug

Yes, we should definately make some plans when it gets warmer! It was 8 degrees this morning, brrr. I am researching some early 1800's home sites and military sites I have many places located, just need to get out and get permission. Many of the sites are farm fields only huntable in spring and fall

I am getting the itch to find more colonial coins and military buttons.
