Hey all, here are some pics from the last 2 hunts at low tide. Both were in different locations.
1st: Some clad, lots of crap, 1 silver earring and a junker peace ring.
2nd: Mostly junk but I did manage to find my first sharks tooth! I saw it wash out of my scoop when I dug my first pulltab of the day! Had to chase it around the surf a bit, and probably looked like a doofus to anyone on shore, but I got it!
Hampton Roads hunters:
The one I do want to talk about is from the day before and the one I may need some help with. As I was leaving the beach 2 days ago, a panicked young woman ran up to me and asked for my help in finding a ring she just lost on the beach. I gridded the whole area TWICE (about a 100x50 foot area) hunted it hard for about an hour and came up with zilch.
We checked between the beach and car and everywhere else in between but nada. The woman was there with her mother, in-laws, new 3 month old baby and husband is away with the military right now. It wasn't a good day for her to say the least.... If any hunters in the area who may be able to help, drop me a PM and maybe we can get a few detectors out there at the same time before it gets pulled off the beach. (if that is in fact where it is...) I plan on doing this pro bono, not looking for a reward, just the nice feeling of helping someone in need. ( I believe she posted an add about it as well offering one). Hopefully we can find this for her!
