Found this galena one locally. Copper nuggets from Wisconsin.

Just don't tend to see them to often in "nugget" shape, the cleavage and softness makes sure of that.
I wouldn't even have thought it was galena, ah the pleasures of living in glaciated lands.
I'm curious, how did you ID it? Looks like you didn't clean it, no cleavage visible either. Hardness test?
Neat, IF I find any Galena it is usually while panning, in sub cm sizes.
Usually cleaved and easy to ID under magnifikation. (i.e. they are often cleaved already)
Show some of those crystalline ones, those are my favourites.
