I found this in a tot lot in the wood chips. My Ace 250 showed it in the bronze range. It looks sort of like nickel and is about that heavy too. I have no clue and would appreciate any help to ID it. I did post it with my other finds today but I thought I should post it here. Sorry if I should not have. I am just going nuts trying to figure this thing out. Going by other finds something that big and looks like it does should not have showed up in the bronze range???...Please help!

I think it might be a form of zodaic calander that has to do with cycles maybe but to be sure you would have to check more on it--- try the number of 31 day months--- find the link betwween the dates between the months on outer month and the inner one why the + whatever it denotes a change of when to "take" the medicene but why?--- dues it note the 28 day cycle of a females period---it could help her time her period---or other body cycles --- you kind of get the drift---important if you want to know the natural cycles of things rather than the man made dates which vary quite a bit---Ivan

Engran HP is a medication. I can't find what sort - possibly a vitamin or mineral supplement.
Squibb is the manufacturer - E.R. Squibb & Sons.Edward Robinson Squibb formed the company in 1858, passed it onto his sons who sold it in 1906 and it was more recently bought (1989) by Bristol-Myers.
The calendar on the disc could be a dose register.

Just a thought regarding the significance of the calendar.
It could be a 'gestation' calendar. At first I wondered why each lower month is 3 months prior to the top. But! They (the lower) are actually 9 months ahead + a number of days, I suspect to equal a normal human gestation.
So pick a date in any month to recreate and work out when your baby's due.

Absolutely correct Triki.. Our doctor had a similar device, a little round wheel he looked at just like this one, but obviously more modern. Here is a picture of a modern one...

http://thedatewheel.com/pregnancy/index.html

Basically you ask the patient the first day of the last menstration she had before pregancy. Then look at your little wheel. If she says May 1, then the due date is Feb 5 as you add the number of days as indicated on the dial. This is to account for the variance in the number of days in each month throughout the year. You can go online and use any modern due date calculator and you can see the results match perfect....

like I said ---a female human's period cycle counter --which are 28 days per cycle for finding out when the babys due---outer ring / inner ring ---the med might have been some form of vitamans for preg women so that they have "healthy" babies --often preg women take vitamans even today---Ivan

You sure were on the right track. I asked a former nurse at work and they said it is a female gestation calendar. For example, look at the month of June. It has mar +7 below it. March is 9 months after June and the +7 is that she would add 7 days after her last menstrual cycle started and that would be her due date. I think I am quoting it right???... Thanks for all of your help.

WOW, looks like I should have read all the posts and I wouldn't have needed to post this. Thanks again to all of you.

You've got your answer, but I wanted to add a bit more detail. This is in dead a gestation calendar. It probably dates back to around 1960 to about 1975. Engran HP is a Prenatal Vitamin. My Mother had something similar she received from the doctor when she became pregnant with my younger brother in 1967. It is a promotional gadget manufactured for the drug company (squibb) that formulated the Vitamin/mineral supplement.

a possible "time" dating---humm 1960 to 1975 era----with the name on it being a drug company--that made vitamans---and the item being for pregnent woman----think this ones fairly in the bad----it could be quite a bit older though ---they been making these things for quite some time if I understand correctly.----Ivan
