Last sunday was a great day weather wise....with the temperature in the 60's we decided to go to an area we havedetected 2 years ago and have not been back since... The first site (old cellar hole) we detected seemed to be the best of the day. Finding large cents , a few buttons and the boot heals all came out of this area ..The guys I was with also found a few nice items and a nice buckle dating to the mid 1800's ...
The old ford Caps came out up the road in a very rocky area that may have had something there at one time . There were no visual clues to anything being there ..harmonica reed, the buckle and heart shaped lock all came out there....The 1835 large cent should clean up nicely!!!! Good luck in future hunts!!!! enjoy.

Glad you guys were able to get back out there...although I cant believe you found anything after you already hunted it once! lol...I thought you guys were famous for leaving nothing behind! I know I sure never want to hunt behind you!!!!! I am thinking the Heart Lock is my very favorite!!!

What is nice about this area is it's huge and there are a number of old cellar holes, so this is one that was a first for us.....

Hey, Seeker, another goodun'. That's a great lock. Interesting harmonica reed. I've never seen one shaped that way.

I don't want to question the master.....but......aren't those toe plates....not heel plates? ??? Did you find a date on them? Mine are printed with patent info.
