It's been a long time coming but I finally got a gold ring. I've been to countless old sites and have found lots of almost everything but never got my coil over a gold ring. It's not a big beauty like a lot of the gold rings I see on here but to me it's perfect. I'm not sure how old and it's only a 10k lady's ring and maybe had some stones at one point but I'm just guessing maybe early 1900's. Looks like the makers initial are J B? I also found a bent up 1843 New Brunswick half penny token,1917 Canadian large cent, fancy dress button missing the shank and some other older odds and ends. If I spent more time at beaches then maybe it wouldn't of took so long but I prefer old property sites. I've found 250 year old silver on sites like this but even if it's not old gold I'm glad to finally knock a ring off the list. Thanks for looking! [emoji2][emoji106]

Great work. Super finds.

Zap it for about a minute and hit it with baking soda paste. I found a couple 10 K rings that were black from being on the bottom of the lake. Amazing what a little electric running through it and baking soda paste can do.
Congrats, I love that feeling of finding rings!

When we choose to go down the path of relic hunting we also realize that gold comes seldom
It's not like the park and beach hunters, it's a more "common" find for those guys, but when a relic hunter discovers gold we can celebrate it
Congrats on the ring!

Congrats on the ring!

Totally true.

To the OP - very nice find man. Great old gold

Now that you've got the monkey off your back, go out and find another or two and this time maybe a little more girth...
Thanks for sharing, good luck and, HH ALL

Congrats on the gold ring, but I have to say...that is the prettiest fancy button I've ever seen! -Lisa

Thanks. I actually found a exact twin to that button about a year ago and it's perfect. Shank and all! [emoji2]

Congrats on the gold ring! It took me for EVER to find my first gold ring, and it's still my only one.

Thanks. I have a funny feeling it will be my only one for a long time yet! Haha
