Found this today on an 1800's site. Possibly "CERTIFICATE" on bottom and "OENT" or "CENT" too right of hole. The reverse is very tough to make out. Im working on cleaning it up and will post more photos later. I'm thinking an early token. The hole is throwing me off as if it was special enough to wear. Or, maybe it was a tag? 3592CFEC-23AA-43DD-A489-93F8853BEB55.jpg

almost looks like I can make out a bust facing right and possibly the word 'president'. I'm seeing this with the possible top being at the 9:00 o'clock position in your pic. Leads me to believe it's a presidential campaign token or medal, mid-1800's

The possibility of that sounds exciting. Guess I better take it out of the lemon juice

Ha! Nice! You rock! I'm fairly certain that is it. Indianapolis is less than 30 miles to the west of this site. Would have been cool to have found a presidential token though. The hole was probably to keep in secured somewhere. I'll post another photo in s few minutes.
