Large Cent Head Button

Hi Guys,
Im Not Sure On What this one is at all. As You Can See, It has a large cent head and Im pretty sure its a matron head but everything else on the back is all rusty. So, If you know what this is,please let me know!

not an actual coin. probably was gilt to appear like a gold coin. my opinion is that it dates to the 1850's gold rush era

I found what I thought was a counterfeit 1 dollar gold piece, I posted several years ago. Someone here found it was part of a bracelet that was gilted to look like gold coins. I think your correct that yours is a button.
