Here's the Large Cent I found yesterday while out detecting with Hollowpointred. This is how it cleaned up after soaking all night in olive oil and massaging with Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion. Also used a little Copper Care on it.

Great find!!! Can't wait for my first Large Cent. Are you in Delaware County? I'm in Chester County and always looking for someone to head out with if you ever need an extra.

Nice clean up Bob....My one and only(so far) had to be a no-dater Matron,go figure.

pjroo33,
Yes, I'm in Delaware County. Are you talking about getting out to go metal detecting or skiing? From your avatar, it looks like you've spent some time in Colorado yourself. Seriously, there's another guy in Chester County who wants to get out some time. We'll have to get all of us locals out one day for some detecting. Maybe after the new year or in the Spring. I've got some skiing to do in Colorado in a couple days myself. Happy hunting.

Yes... We should get out metal detecting. Let me know whenever you want to go out. I'm good on any weekend and I'd like to get out before the ground freezes up too much. My avatar is from a vacation in Alaska last summer. [email protected]

Nice find, I found an 1835 LC on Sunday and when my Explorer has the
ID of 25 with a high pitch, I just know it's a LC, I've found about 8 so far.

Cool find, Bob!

That LC cleaned up real well, still a lot of detail left on it.

Always enjoy your finds since they're close to home.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice find Bob!

It is great to see good finds are still being produced from the heavily hunted Delaware Valley!

I see a lot of "year end" total posts here lately. There are still a few weeks left before I post totals. The weather is perfect for metal detecting; damp soil makes easy digging!

Happy Hunting!
