Hi all, I went back to the indian fort field today where I had recently dug 4 large cents and 4 indians. I knew that there had to be plenty of stuff left here and I just knew that I could pluck out a few more large cents. Well, after heading down the highway with a thunderstorm in the area,(and after seeing a poor guy in a 1969 Corvette convertible with the top down get soaked), I finally made it to the field as the rain let up. There is a section of hill that used to be the front yard of what was supposedly a late 1700's to early 1800's mansion in front of the fort. There has basically been a honey line where everything is coming from so far. I was in a section that I had already covered, but apparently I had missed this one little spot where this little lady still lay. She nearly blew my headphones off as she was only about two inches deep. I can just make out parts of the date which is 1797. Woohoo!....second time to break into the 1700's in two weeks.
