Hey guys,

After getting into this hobby a year ago it has been a goal of mine to find a large cent. Hours of swinging the Safari on a friend's old plantation property finally paid off with these two large cents dated 1817 and 1793. I nearly jumped 3 feet in the air when I stumbled across this coin spill. So amazing that this stuff is still out there after 200 years waiting to be discovered!

Very nice early pennies. Gotta love those big coppers. Congrats.

My friend according to my nearly two year old "Red Book" of U.S. Coins if indeed you have a 1793 Liberty Cap large cent , they
only made 11,056 of them and they are worth a chunk of change . Can you please put up some good close up pics both sides,
we could be looking at a BANNER here .

uhhh.. 1793..u say..what Argentium said..CAREFULLY CAREFULLY clean that unit and PLEASE post more pics of it..that is the stinkin' holy grail of LC's...looking forward to additional pics ASAP!! LOL...ddf

Wow! That baby can be worth some serious cash. With 11,000+ made the chances of digging a dropped one has to be mega rare. Congrats!

OMGosh! Both are cool finds but that 1793.. PLEASE post clear close ups. It looks in pretty daggone nice shape for an 18th century coin! Fantastic! Congrats! What a first find..
Let us know what you find out..

that'd be sweet if it was a 1793! But even if it's "only" one of the other dates, you still did pretty good! A Liberty Cap LC is on many want lists.

Congrats on the large cents. Still waiting on my first. Back in the day, how would you like to carry a dollars worth of those?

WOW!!! If your gonna find your first LC, there's probably not a better one to find, unless it is a Chain cent! Big congrats.

First off congrats on a fantastic find.... But the cap does not look quite right for the 93. Are you sure it's not a 95? Also the hair line doesn't look right. It looks more similar to he 95. I'm truly hoping I'm wrong here. Great find

Congratulations! Firsts are always very special!

WTG!

Nice large cents. The draped bust is really nice. Thanks for sharing!

Where it looks like a five is way too far to the right to be a number if you look a little closer to the right of that there another similar mark the last number from what see is completely obscured great shape for any 17

Very nice finds, great saves!
