Large cent and a Rosie

Got out on a beach hunt for a couple hours this morning. Managed to pull a silver Rosie and a matron head large cent! It's pretty toasted but I'll take it!

Thanks for sharing! What a shame that the cent is so corroded that the date is unclear, yet "LIBERTY" can be read on the headband.

Thanks guys! The LC had almost an inch of sand stuck to the obverse until i peeled it off, I'm not sure if that was the right move or not. I might have been able to save more detail if I was patient!

it is what it is - its a LC and that would get me stoked - Ive gotten a few from saltwater and though in little better shape than yours
they are just neat finds but add hope to what else could be at that spot - got a lot of silver and old gold where I got mine

I think it adds character. It tells a story of where it's been and has cool patina for my display case! And I'm glad I saved it before it wasn't recognizable!
