Went to the far away site that I found the silver buckle and today got another musket ball, flat button and a large buckle with a design. I only squeezed in a half hour than I had to work again. Anyone know what type if buckle?

Looks like 18th century to me, very similar to what some other posters have pulled out from 18th century sites along the east coast.

Yeap, 18th C shoe buckle - nice one!

Nice finds, im likin the flat button

Thanks. I was thinking it was possibly a shoe buckle. Just the size of it threw me off. I hope next trip gets me a silver coin! :)
