BMG --- Browning Machine Gun, the Mark 2 is still in use as I type this, possibly dusting a taliban right now, affectionately called by the troops the "Ma duce."

Hello. I found this today at a 1920's site...biggest piece of ammo I have ever found. It looks like "42" is stamped on the end. What is this thing? Thanks. C9

That for sure a 50 cal bullet from a Browning M2. What peaks my interest is where did you find this? I see your profile says FL.
The casing is 1942 but I can't tell any other inscription on it. Any letters that you can make out on it? Reason why I ask is because I like to know where that specific bullet was manufactured.
