Hello and hope everyone is getting out swinging this weekend!

I had one of those kind of aggravating days, some bad luck, but a little good luck too. Had my route all planned and headed out early this morning to hit some parks first and then schoolyards. I went to four different parks and every one of them had pea gravel or just bare dirt in their play areas. Not worth it, moved on, not enough easy pillaging areas for me. ;) Then, the first school district I hit, they had pea gravel too. Dang. Luckily, I had multiple back up plans and the second school district had woodchips.

All of these schools had fairly small play areas so I was able to go through each of them in a little over hour each. But my bad luck continued. While I was hunting the third school, my kid called and had a problem, so I had to pack it up and go home, oh well. Everything is fine by the way.

I didn't think I found that many coins, but when I cleaned them up, I was pleasantly surprized with the totals. The best surprise while cleaning them up was a discovered one of the dimes was a silver roosie, 1964 D.

At the first school, about five feet out from the slide, I got my first keeper of the day. A pretty large 925 mariner crusifix. It was only about 3/4" of an inch under the chips. After I found that, I slowly and carefully scanned the area around it and found a piece of the chain it was on. I continued to search and found the entire chain in five different pieces. It's hallmarked Sterling. I can't understand how it could get so chopped up like that, in so many pieces. Oh well, I'll take it, two keepers, I was happy. At the second school, I found a large gold tooth, a molar crown. It has some nice weight to it. Kind of gross, but hey it's Gold!! :D. My last keeper was a cool sterling beading link piece at the third school just before I left.

So the totals for the day were, all the nice gold and silver keepers, 175 coins for a face value of $13.28 in 3hours hunt time. Lots of zipper pulls again today Mastereagle :) , one pretty junque ring and a few other trinket pieces, not as much as normal I guess. I found one forien coin. It's a one Aehar 1993??? Also got two play tokens, not Chuck E Cheese. I might go out again in the moring tomorrow, we'll see. head back over towards the richer side of town this time maybe.

With the three sterling jewelry pieces found today, that puts me at exactly 100 sterling silver jewelry pieces for the season. I am at 46 gold pieces this year so far.

Thanks for reading, HH to all.
Here's some photos of Today's Finds and my keepers.

Smiles!

Thanks Dave. When I dug the cross, I got a big smile for sure. My duaghter had a good theory (she's so smart...lol) She thinks it was a break up thing about the chain being chopped up. Maybe the kid got it as a gift from his girlfriend and when they broke up, he chopped it up and through it out?

Good luck to you too out there buddy!

Sweet BDoo...

The crucifix is WAY COOL...the wife has a smaller version on her charm bracelet...

As always...STELLAR...JUST STELLAR... :o

Way to Go,

Nick

BTW...Hummmm let's see...YUP...gold tooth is still on my list.... ;D

Thanks a lot Nick. I am always happy to see you have visited one of my posts. Best of luck you out there too.

I think this is my 4th gold tooth, second this year. All found under or near the swingsets. I would love to find one of those Grille thinies, but I think that is going to be mostly found by the water hunters not us land dwellers.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of finds you make in a day, B-Doo.
That's a lot of work. But, as an old sailor that crucifix and anchor piece really appeals to me. The chain is nice and the 64 Roosie is just gravy. HH

Outstanding, that's a real decent haul. . . MUCH better than the screaming canning jar lids I found today buried at 9-inches :D

Hey BDoo ---

Nice day! Those tot lots seem to be a good option when the desire to hunt doesn't equal the energy level at hand ;) and the gold & silver make it worth it for sure. Looking forward to my first "non-clad" goodie! Amazing too how fast the clad can add up as you go.....KA---CHING! ;D

Congrats again,

Ha! Ha! Dumb kid. That's like cutting off your nose to spite your face! The anchor is great, but the
tooth is your money find for the day. As of the market close on Friday, 18K gold is at 17.62 per gram.
What does the tooth weigh? 3 or 4 grams? Nice finds BDoo!!

BDoo, you have to be happy about those finds. Some fine silver jewelry, a rosie, gold, and a good amount of clad.
Congrats on another great detecting day. Sometimes my md'ing day starts out slow too, but then finishes with a bang!!!

My md'ing day got stopped short because of the downpour over here in S. CA. It hasn't rained since April here. It was fun for a little to hunt in the rain. I managed two rosies and about 7 wheats. Then the downpour came...I was outta there fast!!! ;D

Congratulations B...nice finds. I love the stuff you find at those schools. They are without a doubt the funnest places to swing a coil.

Hey B, great finds as usual. I almost headed down your way today but changed my mind...have to wait till I gather up more gas money...maybe next weekend. Waiting for my 4X6 coil from White's so I can maybe get a little closer to those metal posts. Keep up the good work my friend.

Congrats on the finds Bdoo, that mariner's cross is awesome. HH, Mike

What a day Boo!
Excellent pile of plunder, coin, gold and silver!
You can't beat that....

Keep safe...
