Found these in a creek. Lapidodendron fossils. 325 million years old. Carboniferous period. Initially thought the one was native American pottery shard, but after looking at the other side figured it out.
Very nice. Spelled Lepidodendron, of course. Excellent photograph of the specimens, indeed. Carboniferous is usually considered the European-use equivalent of the North Amercian Mississippian and Pennsylvanian Periods combined, by the way. At 325 million years ancient, your specimens woud be lower Carboniferous, or late Mississippian in geologic age.
