Melted aluminum beverage can. Very common on Oregon beaches. The detector loves them, we call them "Budweiser nuggets."

We call them "campfire nuggets". People drink beer on the beach and throw the cans in the fire, where they melt.

You should be able to tell that's aluminum, by the weight. It should be light for it's size.

Find the specific gravity of the blob. Look up a tutorial on how to do so. The specific gravity will tell you the density of the item, which will tell you what material it is.
