Lake Goerge, NY

A beautiful lake very rich in history! I'm lucky enough to live 45 minutes away from this treasure. There's no where else that I've been where the time "gets away" so fast.

They have raised cannons in the past. A close friend of mine knows of at least one other that's in about 15-20 feet. He hasn't said anything about it, just enjoys checking it out by himself. One thing about Lake George, for every man on the water, there's at least 10 pair of eyes minding your business.

Many important battles fought in this area during the French and Indian and the Revolutionary war. Of course this is no secret to the state. They've been involved in the area in one way or another for over 50 years now.
