Found these metal lady figurines at a Civil War camp but also had an old homestead could possibly be more modern. Located approx. 30 feet from each other. I think they were both plated, but the plating has worn off of the model that is in the seated position. The model in standing position has a hollow base, possibly for mounting on something or for reduced weight. By the weight, my guess is that they are pewter and the hair styles are early looking. Both models lack clothing. Any ideas on what they were. They are approximate 5 1/2 inches tall and weigh about 7 ounces each.

Kinda look like old car hood ornaments.

Possible but I have also seen Cast iron toys has figures shaped like this also. The figures could be a man riding a horse, driving a car, or other various things.

It appears you have 2 Art Nouveau (1890–1910) metal nude statues that could have been on a lamp, candle holders, or as a single statue. Nudes were very popular during that era. Judging by the pics, the hollow one appears to be some type of pot metal that has been plated. Interesting find, Breezie

Breezie,
I think you have things steered in the right track. I have sent plenty of time on Google Images trying to find out if these were mass produced car hood ornaments, but since there are no pictures in existence, my guess would be that these were more art/decorative in nature for the home rather than a hood ornament and were manufactured in very small quantities. In the meantime, I will keep looking for something to determine the origins of these little ladies.
Regards,
