Labor Day Love Token & Relic Hunt

Decided to hit the wooded slopes between two cellar holes I have pounded over the years. Full of modern trash, 1800’s trash, broken bottles, pottery shards, bullets, shotgun head stamps, you name it, it’s there. Got a nice shallow 23-24 signal, sounded like a wheat penny. Then out popped a big bucket lister, 1890 Seated Dime love token!!! My first love token, such a cool piece of history.

The rest of the pics are relics from a site I hit over the weekend that was the farm house for “boys home” compound from 1910-1960 now a wooded area of a local park. Lots of targets and variety made for a couple of quick escapes into the solitude of the woods. Thx for looking!
