Yea right only six from (90). There are probably a lot more out there.

Local and international dealers were contacted and they returned 90 coins, Mathebula said. Of those, six were found to contain up to 5 percent less gold than specifications require, he said.
 

Not to defend them for producing coins without the proper weight, but the coins in question were proof coins that are sold in special sets and placed in plastic coin holders. So most likely the buyers would have not even known they coins were not proper weight. The coins in question were not the regular bullion krugs that everyone is familiar with.

Just another good reason to buy regular bullion coins that you can weigh and measure and know you are getting the real deal.

it's worth $100.00 in gold from a man on the street.
