Way cool find :icon_thumleft: Here's some info .They come in 2 or 5 piece sets and go for 30- 85 bucks depending on the piece.
This “Royal Pewter” has a pattern that springs from events that took place in Norway almost 1,000 years ago. The Viking period was something more than an era of violence and barbaric customs. The Viking kings surrounded themselves with artists of various kinds, and it was a point of honor for the kings themselves to be able to handle a craftsman's tools. The sagas tell us that Olav the Holy himself carved the dragon's head on one of his long ships. “Olav the Holy and his men” — the inspiration of this pattern — introduced Christianity to Norway. King Olav fought tirelessly for this cause, and gave his life for it at the battle of Stiklestad, the year 1030 A.D. He was later canonized, and churches were built to his memory in many part of Europe.
