I've had these for a while...came from my stepfather who, I believe, picked them up in the middle-east. The bone handled knife sheath is silver, although damaged. The double pointed knife has writing on the blade (see pic). The coin thing was in the shape of a cross at one time...unfortunately it has seen better days. I know this is a mixed bag, but if someone has any idea on the time-frame of the knives and/or coins, that would be great.

I don't know anything about that part of the world, but that is one wicked-looking double bladed "knife." :o I can just imagine someone holding and twirling that. Ouch! Am sure there's some historical significance, but unless you can read the language, or find someone who can, you're left in the dark. They look old, though. Sinbad stuff.

The coins are Chinese cash coins, of the 1800's, the symbols you can match up here:

http://www.charm.ru/

and find what emperor/dynasty/town or province of mint and value.

The symbols on the knife appear similar to chinese charm script that I've seen on marriage or other good luck tokens.

Very cool find.
