So with a lot of hurry up and wait going on at work, I have been doing a bunch of historical map overlays. Found and empty lot next to a church, asked permission, granted, was told house was mid 1800s, burned in the 1970s and the lot was purchased by the church.

Is the KY referring to Kentucky? I saw Versailles on there also and we have a town by that name here.

Yes it was found in downtown versailles Kentucky. If your local I'm willing to share spots etc.

Very definitely from the Versailles Commandery of the York Rite in KY. I found this page that mentions them: THE GRAND COMMANDERY OF KENTUCKY YORK RITE - THE HISTORY OF THE GRAND COMMANDERY OF KENTUCKY

I live in Louisville. I just recently got my detector and have been digging mostly at parks and yards. They aren't too obliging here with the laws.

Yeah I heard a "story" that some detectorist was getting hassled by an old lady for digging in a park. He ended up telling her to F off. Turned out she was some high city officials mother or wife. Dunno if its true or not but makes me careful to watch my temper when hassled in parks.
I have permission for a house built in the 1920's and my wife's aunt owns a big mansion around 1850 there. Haven't had time to make a trip to Louisville to detect yet. If so we could hook up.

I have been hunting in a couple big parks where it's easy to go unnoticed haha. I've had the best luck at my grandparents house but I'm pretty sure I covered it all twice over by now. It's time to find a new yard haha
