This knife appear to me to be nickel plated. Defintiely not silver (acid tested). Looks pretty modern to me even though it is worn down by use. Came from an old creek where moon-shining and other activities took place. It appears to me to have a Hindu-like deisng and unfortunately there are no letters or numbers anywhere, not even on the stub of the blade.

I would any information or thoughts on the manufactuer or place and time of manufacure. I really appreciate all the information and discussion I get here. Thanks in advance.

It has a Siam look to it. Is that some one with hands clasped at the top? If so probably late 40's to 60's.
DG
Yes hands clasped together like in prayer. A tall somewhat pointed hat on the person. Thanks.

No markings on the blade? Usually there is something at the ricasso (where the sharp edge stops) on a folder to designate a maker, or at least region.

Length?

Number of blades?

Picture with blade(s) open?

the handle is slightly ovre 3 inches long. Single blade, unfortunately broken. Not a single word on the ricasso or anything else that I can find, even with my loop.

The more I inspect the base of the blad though, the more I get the impression that it was hand shaped. It is certainly not like any others that I have seen. Certainly nothing like the stainless steel mark or anything like that. I tried to get the picture of the base of the blade. Didn't come out too good, but I think you can see what I regard as a rather unusual shape.
