Another great assortment there Joe!!!

These are the few pieces I have dug. Does any recognize the piece in the lower right of the picture?
Same type of head and wire diameter, but straight, with a form of threading.

Obviously it's not a J-Hook, but was it on the knapsack? And where?

Great assortment of knapsack hooks and hardware. You have nearly a whole knapsack worth of hardware there. Love to find those J' hooks.

I have a piece I found that looks almost identical to the one you are talking about and I have always wondered about it.

I found 2 very similar if not identical pcs last week; I hope someone knows what they are. Thanks for your post.

Yak. & Phish.
I have found similar pieces as Yak describes ; imo they are of Civil War use , likely on a Knapsack but not 100% , They kinda look like 'Wick turners' but They are different.

Most of the Brass back then was meant for serious use.

Still catching up., S-l-owly.

Found these knapsack parts in camps around Williamsport Md.

More Sweet finds Joe , most Brass looking pieces these days turn out to be Copper Wire or Cut Brass wire , man they sound good.

Have been blessed enough to find a few for sure KS -pieces tho.
