Went out this morning to a site that me, buckleboy and metaldetective have pretty much worked out. I got a new 15 inch coil for my XLT this week and gave it a shot. I got this knap sack hook at about 12 inches. The bigger coil paid off!
By the way the new coil works great but pinpointing is much harder than I could ever imagined. I figured it would be that way due to the size plus I have Titanium rods in each femur due to a motorcycle wreck many years ago and when I was on my knees digging the hole and trying to pinpoint the coil picked the rods up constantly! Dont have that trouble with my smaller coils. I guess there is always a payoff.
