It was released on 9/14 and the dvd is due 1/28/08. if you go to moviefone aand type in king of california then look for theater's near you

I saw it awhile after I posted this. It was pretty good but, they made Michael Douglass' character look like mad scientist after Spanish buried gold under Walmart.
