Found this old button yesterday inscribed with Latin:

REX PLURES NON CAPIT ORBIS LUDOVICUS

I did some research and the Latin translates to:

THERE IS NO ROOM IN THE WORLD FOR MORE THAN ONE KING LUDWIG

Here's my questions: what was the purpose of this button, and approximately how old is it
