✅ SOLVED King George?

A friend told me he was convinced that's what this coin is but I cannot tell. My eyes see no detail at all!
Maybe a bit of a broad ridge around the edge?

Maybe somebody can tell by the size/weight?
Looks like 35mm to me and it weighs 23.41g a rather hefty coin! No wonder it fell out!

Yes, probably a George III 1797 Cartwheel penny. If the size is night it almost certainly is. (and I think that is right)

Thanks I.P. I had considered that one for the diameter but I understood the weight to be better than 28 grams. Think this could have dieted that well over the years?

Not real sure, but these were not counterfeited near as much so I would lean that it did lose the weight. There's not many coppers that have a similar rim... some from the Isle of Man, but I can't think of any others. If the diameter is right that's what you got.

Don't know bout you but I'm seeing about half a foot of snow out my window. I think I may wait a bit.
