I dug this King George II half penny in a stone wall enclosed area in the woods this past Thursday. The closest old home site that I am aware of is probably a couple hundred yards away. The date is gone, but I believe this is the older head version, so it is circa 1740 - 1754. It is in rough and delicate shape, but I am really glad to have dug it regardless. Good luck out there and happy hunting.
