King George III not II, don't know if I can edit the title. 27mm in diameter and weighs 8.25 grams. First thought it might be a Hibernia because of how the back looks, but the bust doesn't match. Is this British or a Colonial? I can't find exact matches there either but I know there are tons of varieties for colonials.

I think you are right, thank you very much. I will look tomorrow when I have good lighting to see if I can make out any of the letters to confirm.

I agree that it is probably a William III half penny. It does look like it might be a Hibernia, but not enough detail to say for sure.

The bust matches the English halfpenny better than the Hibernia so I think it's English.

Thanks! It didn't come from metal detecting sadly but from a cull copper lot on ebay. I did good imo though, a 1679 English farthing, 1679 Scottish bawbee, the coin in this thread, dateless draped bust cent, dateless Classic head cent, 1919 wheatie and dateless Indian head. All in poor shape but worth the $6 I paid surely.
