King George II button.... Not :) buttons and a bunch of what's its

Another fun day out detecting with Treblehunter. Cold and snowing.. at one sight we had 2" of frozen soil, heck even smashed my finger between frozen dirt clods..hahaha

So I found a lot of little odds and ends, all the whats it's and a few buttons. I found one what I thought was a button and just put it in my finds pouch thinking just another old button since it was a little bent. It wasn't until we were done for the day that I was showing Treblehunter and handed it to him as one of the "buttons" I had found.. he immediately told me "that isn't no button, that's a king George II" lol
We got a good laugh with that one..

It is toasted for sure but there is no doubt what it is..my oldest coin yet. Thanks for taking me to your spots Brad!!!

One more day to detect for me then back to Ca.. so far a great trip even with the cold and snow.

Your welcome and I love that gold gilt button and of course your King George II. I'm so happy you found that, it might not be that gold coin we want to find but I'm glad you got to find a nice King George. Any copper I can look at straight out of the ground and ID is a very nice copper, congrats. I enjoy your company and hope you can top your finds with another bucket lister tomorrow.
