So I work nights, and I'm off Sunday and Monday, so my best day for CRHing is Monday morning. I'm able to get up early, get an early start and hit a ton of banks. Today I got started off great by scoring three 40%'s right out of the tray of the first teller in the first bank I went to. I was 3/3! I thought I was off and running and in store for a big day.

My route took me about 60+miles roundtrip, and I was able to get my hands on $1100 worth of half dollars by noon. By the time I got home I was frothing at the mouth from excitement.

I tore through those $1100 worth of rolls in about an hour and found.....nothing!

Oh well...I guess somedays you're the windshield and somedays you're the bug!

I have three more silvers than I had yesterday and tomorrow is another day!

the loose halves are usually the best because those are the ones that are least likely to have been searched (oddly enough) and usually yield the highest % of silver. I'd rather tellers tell me they have a few loose coins than a few hundred dollars worth because I know my odds of finding silver are much better. Of course there's always that remote chance that one day......

I have never ever scored a silver half from a tellers tray... Even when I ask for halves, and they give me a bunch of loose halves that has a silver or two in it, I do not know where it came from, it for sure wasnt in the tray where I could see it before hand.

I wish I could find these allusive "teller tray silver score" banks.

nice finds. your next road trip will be better.
