Killer today.

Sure is a killer find. :icon_thumright:

Adam,

Nice find. You find too many nice artifacts when you take a phone call before picking up a great piece... (Seriously, sounded like she gave you a honey-do list.)

Fox are normally curious little creatures and prefer open areas like that to wooded areas, but that might have been a run away from a fur farm because he didn't seem too afraid of you.

Thats great. I cracked up when the phone rang.It never fails. Good looking old point. They should be popping out pretty soon.

Dude that is a KILLER kirk. I have found so many broken ones that were so super finely made. That is a SUPER point. Congrats man.

Super find RJ

Great Insitu shots and a cool video too. I still have a foot of snow on the ground here. That washed down field may produce some more goodies for ya. Super find, congrats!! :icon_thumright:

Super ! Exceptional !! An about as-made example of a point that's generally found as an exhausted nub of what it had been.

Let me disagree, though, about it being a Kirk Cornernotch. "Kirk" is, unfortunately, a garbage can term that every Early Archaic CN goes into that isn't recognisable as a Dovetail, Lost Lake, Decatur &c.

What you've found is, IMHO, a first stage Charleston point, and much older than most Kirk points. Very Early Archaic.

You take real good care of that one ! :headbang:
