Just tell me if you get tired of these clad posts guys...OK?? Took off work an hour early today and hunted for 3 hours this evening.? Went to a strange "walk in" park, surrounded by housing tracts.? You had to park in lot and walk in about 3/8 of a mile to get there.? Tennis courts, basketball courts, triple playground, BBQ pavillions, horse shoe pits, and soccer fields.? I personally wouldn't want to carry an ice chest that far but what the hell, I'll hunt it!? Focused on the edges of the sidewalk and did pretty well.? Got one of those variable signals that most of you MXT users probably know...25, .50 & $1.00 usually ends up being copper irrigation pipe.? This time though it ended up being 12 quarters tied off in a cellophane bag.? Sets a new personal record for face value from one hole.? The most interesting find to me though was in the middle of a soccer field @ 4 inches.? I thought it was a piece of decorative hardware from a piece of furniture and just tossed it in the bag.? Later I realized it was a copper brooch, long since parted with whatever stones adorned it and the plating.? Also picked up 2 junk rings, a brass button, a track cleat, a dog collar spike, some sort of heart pin and $8.51 in clad.? BTW, the newest quarter in the cache was a 2001 Texas (Correction by MDnoob...New York).? Been doing so well with this drift hunting I've been doing, I'm afraid I'm gonna hit the wall and have a bad slump.? Good luck everyone!?
