I got about 10 hours of hunting in between last nights hunt and this mornings hunt.

The keepers are 177_ King George III Half Penny, 1816 US Large Cent, .52 Sharps and another .52 bullet and a tombac. I think I've exhausted this place for now, so I will take some time off.

I am going to post this in a what-is-it, but if you know what this is, let me know! I thought button, but I dont see anyplace where a shank would have been fastened. The back is concave (not flat)

Nice finds !!!

Nice digs. There's bound to be more there if you're still popping out solid targets like that.

Thanks everyone. I'm definitely not done with this site, just done for now due to tall grass.

I put together the identifiable coins, I've pulled out since April, for a group shot! It was a good spring of hunting this year. The coppers are two KG I's, the KG III from today and the two large cents. I have another unidentifiable copper that is the same diameter and thickness as a kg.

That's a great display of early coins that you should be very proud of Brad. I'm sure when the conditions are more favorable at that site more goodies will keep popping out. Great job!

If it's dry wait until you get a soaking rain and hit it again. That is one fantastic site bud

Thank you Bill! This site has fulfilled a few bucket list relics and coins... and a couple items I never expected to dig myself, such as the pistareen, were added and removed from the bucket list the moment I dug them. ha Thank you again for all the assistance with these finds and taking the time to educate me on this old stuff.

You've found plenty of great stuff at that site, congrats on all the finds, hope there's much more there waiting for you

Abe, if I use "The Device" after a rain storm, I'll need to bring a backhoe to dig my plugs. That 1816 LC was 9" deep, but I was swinging in 4+" grass... and it was dry!

Its part of a 2 piece button.
