Keydate V Nickel

I managed to find me the keydate for the v nickels yesterday, it sure made my day I did a short video clip on youtube too.

Great looking nickel. How did you clean it? I know your nickel is nicer than the one I found recently but I would like to clean mine to see more detail under the grime.

I found 38 Vnickels in 2015 two 1884s just could not find that 1885 nice job on your 1885 key date nice condition too....

Yeah that's a beauty. They hardly ever come out that nice. I've been fortunate to have found two 85s over the yrs

The first thing I did was gather up some snow for distilled water, I let it and the wheat soak in it for a while, then I cleaned with soap and water and used a pencil eraser lightly removing the thin layer of clay or whatever it was coated with.
