All the trash that was dug is left of the $2.49 in clad. I did get a sterling St. Christopher pendant with chain intact, unfortunately the chain seems to be stainless since it sticks to a magnet.

Yes this was what my hunting partner got minus $2.40 in change.

I do like skeleton keys,,
Congratulations on your finds.
Unfortunately it wasn't the skeleton key graveyard, I think they are kind cool as well. Never found any yet.

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: Out of all the parks and houses Mary and I have hunted we have found 4 keys, one was a skeleton. You found almost 20 newer ones!

I bet a lot of guys took their girlfriends there and lost there keys lol Well done

That medallion is sweet also!!!!!!

The chain is not stainless, stainless is not magnetic. Nice finds, love those sterling medallions.

Finding anything 'sterling silver' always makes for a good hunt.

Congrats,
Dave

Ain't necessarily so!

304 stainless does contain enough iron to attract a magnet. 316 does not contain any significant iron and is the grade most often used in surgical instruments and cookware.

They say every picture tells a story. Looking at all the keys and religious metals is very confusing. "Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz?"

Nice finds, Congrats!

Thanks for stating that, saved me a few minutes.

Looks like you were detecting in a used car lot with all of those keys ! Nice variety.
