key from england

this big key came from england , was my great aunt and im 45 , came across it in a box today fro garage and was wondering if

anybody can tell me anything about it and possibly how old is it or when it was made ,

You can still buy 6 in skeleton keys in hardware shops today. Can't tell exactly how big yours is. I am sure there are larger ones available.

How long is it ? I love the key end design , if it's big - maybe a jail door key

just under 7 inch's long , key hole part is just under 3 inch's wide , front of key is 2 inch's wide

My family is from the Czech Republic. The house where my mom grew up had locks that took keys like that. The main house key was 6" long.

The house, locks, and keys were made in the 14th century. Yours looks a lot like the keys my mom still has to this day, as mementos.
