Today I went to a park in the next county over that I’ve hunted a half dozen times or so. This is an older park that had activity back to the late 1800s. I’ve had decent luck there with my best coin being a 1922 peace dollar that I pulled out about four years ago.

Well the coins were scarce today but I managed to find a 1920 something Mercury dime that had been hit by a mower which took off the last number of the date. I also found a buffalo nickel that I was happy to see had a date, since about 75% of the ones I find are dateless. I was even happier to see that it is a 1926-S, which is one of the key dates. Frankly it’s probably the best buffalo I’ve found.

very nice buff, I only have one or two that are like that, the rest look, well, pretty toasted is the word I believe

That’s a real good looking nickel. Congrats!

Nice work! 🙌 Love them Buffs!

Nice one, many come out dateless and be glad that one wasn't one of those.

very nice detail there great find

Nice find! Gotta love those old s mints out here. Keep them coming.

Being a young state we just don’t see the large cents, etc that are plentiful in the east. Our only saving grace out here is that the odds of finding San Francisco minted coins are pretty high.
