Kentucky's Talking Tree Treasure
As reported in the New York Times Feb.5-1905
A local newspaper printed a story from Paducah about a "Talking Tree" on the farm of William Albert near Heath.
Enormous crowds gathered to hear strange noises and a voce that can be distinctly heard saying, "There are Treasures buried at my roots'.....A party of the most reliable citizens of the county witnessed this and were there for the investigation......after several hours there was a sudden crash and then the voice clearly stating " There are treasures buried at my roots"
A family that had owned the farm, became so frieghtened they sold the farm at a loss and moved to Texas......http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archiv...D133AE733A25755C0A9649C946497D6CF&oref=slogin
